Equal Opportunities

Yellow Coral celebrates difference, we support it, and we thrive for the benefit of our clients and our candidates.  Yellow Coral is proud to be an equal opportunity recruiter and we are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, or disability, or any other inappropriate discriminatory factor, including non-speaking British/Foreign Nationals.

No client, applicant, employee receives less favourable treatment on any of the above grounds and we take all steps within our power and resources to meet this responsibility.

We seek to promote the benefits of our policy in all of our business activities and develop a business culture that reflects that belief. We strive to make sure that our clients meet their own diversity targets.

Yellow Coral will not discriminate unlawfully when deciding which candidate is submitted for available opportunities, or any terms of engagement for interims.

Yellow Coral will ensure that each candidate is assessed only in accordance with the individual’s merits, qualifications and abilities to perform the relevant duties required for the particular opportunity Yellow Coral will not accept instructions from clients that indicate an intention to discriminate unlawfully.

In particular Yellow Coral aims to ensure that all: Job advertisements will include a general declaration to the effect that Yellow Coral aims to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and information given in such a way as not to discriminate against any individuals wishing to apply.

Records will be maintained as a means of monitoring Yellow Coral’s policy and as a means of identifying possible areas of inequality. The operation of the policy will be regularly reviewed. Selection, recruitment, and training practices and procedures will be reviewed to ensure that individuals are treated on the basis of their relevant merits and abilities.

All employees in Yellow Coral’s service will be made fully aware of their responsibilities towards the promotion of this policy and provided with suitable training. In support of our equality and diversity policy, our application form is split into parts. This enables the monitoring information to be retained for that purpose only, and the personal information to be withheld until short listing has taken place.

Candidates can therefore be assured that short listing is carried out on merit for the job, without knowledge of any personal characteristics. The aim of the selection process is to ensure that the best person for the job is appointed, using an interview, together with exercises and testing where appropriate.

Candidates are measured against the person specification, produced at the beginning of the process and given to each applicant.

Our full Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy can be provided on request and it is reviewed annually and whenever new legislation is brought into effect.
